It is incredibly easy to build up a sterling reputation and a good name for yourself in your local market. After all, a local market is just a very small pond, and that means you won’t have quite as many competitors to worry about. Plus, as local markets normally only cover a very small area, it won’t be too hard for you to get your name to all your target audience.

It’s a strange state of affairs that just about everyone is fully aware of the fact that no business, outside of those that are exceptionally small, is capable of being run by only one person. After all, the sheer number of tasks required in keeping even a relatively simple business running is so large that trying to do it all on your own is an incredibly misguided and potentially dangerous thing to do. And yet, so many business owners attempt to do this very thing.

Nowadays, the use of a computer is so widespread that you’re essentially at a disadvantage if you don’t have several computers and a network in your office. If you don’t have a tech professional working for you, then you’re at even more of a disadvantage because if one of those computers breaks or the network collapses, then your business will stall for a long time and you’ll be at the mercy of a local computer technician to fix your business.

Think of your business as a water treatment works. Sales leads are like water, pouring into your business every minute of every day. Some of the water can be filtered and purified, some of it can’t. A sales lead on its own has no intrinsic value. You and your sales team need to have the right information from the lead to make an informed decision whether or not to pursue them further, and you need to have it quickly before your window of opportunity closes.
