I was returning an urgent call, the other day, by a client, wanted some explanation about the cost of a project. The project he had recently launched, related to the development of a social marketing solution for his company. The contractor has given him a fair price, but he thought he could lower the price even more (crisis times, you see)!

Moving Is Not Enough
The previous week was very demanding, from a business point of view! On top of that, I had to meet a friend of mine because he was asked me for an appointment! He wanted to discuss some problems he was facing in his job! As a general rule, I try to avoid meetings (of all kinds), especially at the periods of demanding work! But he was a friend (and a client), and I was really interested in listening to what he had to say!
5 Old-school Habits That Are Slowing Your Business Down
Running a business is hard work. Whether you’re just starting out or you’re managing a multi-million-pound enterprise, you need to be willing to put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into making a success of your company. But what if your own worn-in habits are actually hindering your progress?

Entrepreneurship is Not Business
“What makes a good entrepreneur?” was the topic of the discussion! “Who is an entrepreneur“, it was my answer! I was in my mastermind group trying to invigorate the spirit of some of my associates. I was a “First among equals“ (Primus inter pares) in a specific group of people and the one, admittedly, with the lesser skills and abilities among the participants! I am the person who wants to know the “ropes and ties” (so to speak) about what’s happening! One of my habits in such gathering is to take something ordinary and make it an example (forging a connection!) about something else, with greater significance (according to my opinion).
Leading In A Season Of Change
I was talking, with an old friend of mine, about the possibility of effective changing within our modern social and business systems. My friend argued that it is quite impossible to make large changes in the already established structures (social, political, business, etc.), but I had (and I still have) a quite different opinion. I think that you can effectively and intentionally control your life, in most cases, at least!
How to Better Leverage Your Assets
It is a difficult period to live in, and it becomes even more demanding, by day! You need time, energy, knowledge, skills and every possible asset you might own, just to cope effectively with everyday problems, either at a personal or at a professional level. And sometimes, all these assets does not seem enough! You need to better leverage your assets in an optimal way and even better, to build, access or use some more assets!
The Concept of Failure
The concept of failure is not as the failure itself. It relates on how you deal with a failure. Everyone in his/her life has to deal with one or more failures in various fields! The point is not what happens, is what you do with what’s happened!
A Little Bit More!
Do you, ever, find yourself, at the urgency, of doing more! I mean, you have to do a job, a task, an assignment, OK! You did it, and it is OK! But seems not enough! For you. It seems as if it needs something more to be completed! Do you know the feeling?
Think About Tomorrow!
It is not always easy to think about tomorrow. The next day, most of the times is a puzzle to be solved, if not a problem for most of the people!
Book Review: The Goal – A Masterclass on the Theory of Constraints and Business Transformation, by Eliyahu M. Goldratt
Eliyahu M. Goldratt’s The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement (1984) is not your typical business book. Written as a gripping novel, it follows Alex Rogo, a struggling plant manager who has 90 days to save his factory from closure. Through a chance reunion with his former physics professor, Jonah, Alex discovers the Theory of Constraints (TOC)—a revolutionary framework that reshapes how businesses optimize performance.
The Next Day!
Leadership is about next day! Recently, I friend of mine had to make a complete transformation of his earlier life. Besides the current economic situation (tough for everyone!) some medical problems have accrued in his close family. These are enough, to convince him that he had to change his route and make different selections in his life. The result was a complete makeover of his earlier life (with the aid of some friends, of course!). He has to change his life and LEAD it to a different path!
